# Elements

> Reusable cast, locations, products, voices, and brand assets you mention with @slug.

# Elements

**Elements** are reusable assets stored in your account: characters, locations, garments, products, voices, brand kits, and looks. Mention them in prompts with `@slug` so generators and production tables stay consistent.

There is no dedicated sidebar page — elements are created and reused inside **Production tables**, **Brand**, generators, and save-as-element actions.

## Kinds

| Kind | Typical use |
| - | - |
| `character` | Cast / people you reuse across shots |
| `location` | Sets and places |
| `garment` | Wardrobe for lookbooks |
| `product` | Packshots and product refs |
| `voice` | TTS / avatar voice identity |
| `brand` | Brand kit (logo, tone, palette) |
| `look` | Visual style anchors |

## How to use them

1. Create an element from Mesa sheets, brand settings, bulk upload, or **Save as element / character** after a generation.
2. Studio assigns a unique **slug** from the name.
3. In a prompt field, type `@` and pick the element (chip shows slug or name).
4. Generators resolve references and optional prompt blocks when you run.

Creating elements is free. Generations that use them consume credits like any other run.

## Tips

* Prefer stable slugs (`@maya-front`) so teams recognize assets across projects.
* Cast in Mesa is an element — mention the same `@slug` in Image, Video, Audio, or Avatars.
* Brand elements let you write `@brand-name` in prompts for tone and visual continuity.
